Pipe Tobacco
What is Pipe Tobacco?
It is loose leaf tobacco that's burned in a traditional pipe with a bowl. Most types of tobacco for smoking are blended. It is important to start with a few different blends to learn the breadth of flavors that can be created. Tobacco such as this contains nicotine which is harmful and addictive.
Types of tobaccos
- flake cut (tobacco that has been pressed into sheets or flakes)
- plug cut (tobacco that's been pressed into a solid block)
- rope cut (tightly rolled tobacco that looks like a rope)
Often tobaccos are blended which means that different combinations of ingredients can produce very distinct flavors.
