Fumari Expands Fifty-Fifty Hybrid Shisha Line with Three Non-Mint Flavors
Fumari, the San Diego shisha maker known for juicy blonde-leaf flavors, has expanded its newest line. Fifty-Fifty, a blend of half blonde leaf and half dark leaf tobacco, launched in June 2026 with four mint-forward flavors. As of mid-September, the company's homepage announces that "three more join the blend," adding Ambrosia, Spiced Chai, and Hola Peaches.
It is the most significant change to Fumari's tobacco lineup in years, and it puts the brand in the middle of hookah's blonde-versus-dark debate. For adult hookah smokers 21 and older, this hybrid approach offers a middle ground between traditional light shisha and heavy dark-leaf varieties.

What Fifty-Fifty is
Fumari built its reputation on washed, blonde-leaf shisha that is light on nicotine and heavy on flavor and cloud. Dark-leaf shisha, by contrast, is unwashed, stronger, and more tobacco-forward. Fifty-Fifty splits the difference.
Fumari describes each flavor as "not totally dark leaf" and says it uses both dark and blonde hookah tobacco in a 50-50 ratio. Retailer listings specify Virginia leaf for the blonde half and Burley for the dark half, and at least one retailer labels the strength "Medium (Enhanced Nicotine)."
The line launched in 250-gram pouches with a resealable "flavor-lock" closure. On fumari.com each 250g pouch lists at $22.50. Hookah retailers currently price it around $18.99 to $21.99.
The Timeline: From Mint to Classics
Fumari has not issued a dated press release, so the clearest record is its homepage. A snapshot of fumari.com captured on June 14, 2026, shows a hero banner reading "Fifty-Fifty Starts Fresh" and inviting shoppers to "discover the first four mint-forward Special Blends," which were Enlighten Mint, Lemon Mint, Mint Gum, and Watermelon Sugamint.
The live homepage as of September 17, 2026, replaces that banner with "Three More Join the Blend," stating that Ambrosia, Spiced Chai, and Hola Peaches "have arrived" and are now available. The expansion moves the line beyond mint for the first time with three familiar names from Fumari's regular catalog:
- Ambrosia — a sweet melon profile that Fumari rates at maximum smoke density.
- Spiced Chai — vanilla with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom notes.
- Hola Peaches — the brand's white-peach flavor, formerly sold simply as White Peach.
At least one retailer also lists a White Gummi Bear version of Fifty-Fifty, which would make eight flavors total, though Fumari's own announcement names only seven.

Performance and Early Reviews
A hookah retailer that reviewed the launch flavors in June described the blend as delivering blonde-leaf cloud volume with a "rich, resilient tobacco undertone," and noted that it holds heat better than standard blonde leaf. Its packing advice was a semi-dense phunnel bowl with two to three natural coconut coals.
These are practical differences: dark-leaf content usually means more heat tolerance but also more nicotine and a stronger buzz, so people used to Fumari's original line should start with fewer coals and expect a heavier session.
Availability for Shoppers
A2Z Tobacco stocks Fumari's regular 100-gram pouches, including Ambrosia, Spiced Chai, and Hola Peaches (listed as White Peach). These are the original blonde-leaf versions, which are the right starting point for anyone who wants Fumari's flavor without the added strength.
Fifty-Fifty is not yet listed at A2Z; the brand is still rolling the 250g pouches out through hookah wholesalers, so it is worth checking the Fumari collection page as inventory expands.
One caveat: "enhanced nicotine" is a real change, not marketing. Fumari's original blends are among the mildest on the market, and Fifty-Fifty is designed to be noticeably stronger. Nicotine is addictive, and hookah smoke carries the same health risks as other combusted tobacco regardless of leaf color.
The Bottom Line
Fumari has spent two decades as the blonde-leaf brand. Fifty-Fifty is its answer to the dark-leaf trend, and the summer expansion to seven flavors signals the company sees it as a permanent line rather than an experiment. Expect wider retail distribution of the 250g pouches through the fall.
