Swisher Sweets Refreshes Packaging and Launches New Flavors Including Purple Razz and Georgia Peach

Swisher Sweets, the best-known cigarillo brand in the country, has spent the summer of 2026 changing how it looks and what it sells. The Jacksonville, Florida company told customers in late June that its packaging was being "refreshed," then followed the new look with a run of new flavors across its Swisher Sweets Classic cigarillos, its natural-leaf Swisher Leaf line, and its Leaf Wraps.

According to the Rutgers Center for Tobacco Studies' weekly Tobacco Industry Marketing (TIM) Alerts, the first of the new pouches started showing up at online tobacco retailers in early September. The refresh marks a significant aesthetic shift for the brand under the new tagline, "Rolled to Refresh."

Swisher's new 'Rolled to Refresh' branding began appearing on shelves in late summer 2026.

What changed, and when

The refresh played out in three steps, each documented by the Rutgers TIM Alert program, which tracks tobacco industry marketing week by week:

  • June 26: Swisher Sweets announced via email and its website that the brand's packaging was being refreshed and that the new look would be "hitting stores soon."
  • August 21: The brand promoted a new limited-edition cigar, Georgia Peach, in retailer trade magazines. Georgia Peach joins the Swisher Leaf line, comes in packs of three, and is marketed as being made with 100% hand-selected premium American broadleaf.
  • August 28: Reports indicated Swisher had released "many new flavors across several styles" to coincide with the new look. The list includes Watermelon, Purple Razz, and Mango Lemonade in the Classic line; Cookies N Cream and Russian Cream in Swisher Leaf; and Blue Raspberry, Russian Cream, and Cookies N Cream in Swisher Leaf Wraps.

Retailers add one more Classic flavor to that list. Bluegrass Tobacco's September 4 post on the new arrivals names Purple Razz, Orange Cream, and Mango Lemonade as the newest Classic pouches. Online listings at Tobacco General describe both Purple Razz and Orange Cream as limited-edition seasonal releases.

The flavors, line by line

Classic cigarillos (two per pouch)

Purple Razz pairs sweet grape with tangy raspberry. Orange Cream puts citrus against a smooth cream note, a dessert-style profile that sits between the brand's fruit flavors and its creams. Mango Lemonade is a returning flavor, first released in 2023, that has come back as part of the refreshed Classic lineup. Watermelon rounds out the fruit side. Retail listings show the Swisher Sweets Classic Cigarillos $1.39 30 packs of 2 carrying a $1.39 pre-price.

Swisher Leaf (three per pouch)

The natural-leaf line gets two dessert flavors, Cookies N Cream and Russian Cream, plus the limited-edition Georgia Peach. Tobacco General lists the Leaf pouches at a pre-price of three for $2.79, and describes Cookies N Cream as a cookie-inspired flavor with creamy undertones.

Swisher Leaf Wraps (three per pouch)

The unfilled natural-leaf wraps pick up the same two cream flavors, plus Blue Raspberry. Retail listings put the wraps at a $2.99 pre-price per pouch.

Swisher International has made tobacco products since 1861 and says it ships more than 2 billion cigars a year to more than 70 countries. Its Swisher Sweets Cigar Co. unit covers the Original, Diamonds, BLK, Optimo, and Leaf brands.

What it means for shoppers

For anyone who buys Swisher Sweets regularly, the practical takeaways are simple:

  • Expect new packaging on the shelf: The refreshed look is rolling through distribution over the summer and fall. The cigars inside remain the same lines. For those new to the brand, you might want to learn how to smoke a Swisher properly.
  • Several of the new flavors are limited runs: Georgia Peach is explicitly limited edition, and retailers are treating Purple Razz and Orange Cream the same way.
  • Watch stock levels: As of mid-September, several of the new Classic and Leaf flavors were listed as backordered at major online tobacco retailers, a sign that early demand outran the first shipments.
  • Availability varies by state: Flavored cigars cannot be sold in California or Massachusetts, and a number of cities and counties have their own flavor restrictions.

The bottom line

Swisher Sweets has not changed what it is. It has changed how it looks and added a broad set of new flavors in one push, with a heavier lean into natural-leaf products and dessert profiles.

That is a competitive move in a cigarillo market where rivals like White Owl and Game have been rotating limited editions all year. It is also a reminder that these are still flavored tobacco products, addictive and carrying the same health risks as any other cigar. Adults who already smoke cigarillos will find more choices this fall; nobody else should start because of a new pouch design.
